Safety & Responsible Travel

Whitehill TrailsSafety & Responsible Travel Policy

Safety and sustainability are at the heart of every journey we organize. Our policies ensure each guest experiences the mountains with care, respect, and responsibility.

1. Commitment to Safety

  • All treks are led by experienced local guides trained in basic first aid and emergency response.
  • Every route is pre-checked for weather, road, and terrain conditions before departure.
  • Participants are briefed daily about trail conditions and safety precautions.

2. Health & Preparedness

  • Participants must disclose any health conditions before booking.
  • Our team carries a first-aid kit and basic medical supplies on every trek.
  • In case of emergency, we assist in evacuation or medical support through local networks.

3. Female & Child Safety

  • Dedicated support and privacy arrangements are ensured for female trekkers.
  • All staff are trained to maintain a respectful, professional environment.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

4. Responsible Travel & Environment

  • “Leave No Trace” policy: carry back all non-biodegradable waste.
  • Use of single-use plastics is discouraged; we promote refillable bottles.
  • Respect local culture, wildlife, and sacred spaces.
  • Camping sites are chosen to minimize impact on the environment.

5. Weather & Itinerary Flexibility

In the mountains, nature decides the pace. If weather or safety conditions demand, itineraries may be altered. We always prioritize safety and communicate changes transparently.

6. Alcohol, Drugs & Conduct

Alcohol and drug use during treks is strictly prohibited. Participants must maintain discipline and respect all team members, guides, and locals. Whitehill Trails reserves the right to remove anyone violating this policy.

7. Emergency Protocol

In case of serious illness or accident, our guides coordinate with local rescue, vehicle, or helicopter services (where available). Participants must bear external evacuation or hospital costs not included in trek fees.

Travel gently, respect deeply, and move with awareness — this is how we keep both you and the mountains safe.
